Cause of Discharge: Broken sewer force main caused by fiber optic boring
Estimated Discharge: <7,000 gallons
Receiving Waters: Stormwater Inlet contiguous to the Savannah River Basin
Corrective Action Taken: The lift station was turned off to stop the leak. The broken pipe was repaired and affected soil was neutralized with lime.
Spill Status: Corrective action completed. No further discharge occurring.
Corrective Action Taken to Prevent Future Discharge: Broken pipe segment replaced.
