Under the Planning & Development umbrella, Building & Inspections are responsible for the city’s structural integrity, ensuring all development is safe, compliant, and aesthetically appealing. The department’s purpose is to issue building permits and conduct inspections for all new construction, alterations, repairs, removals, and demolition. Their office reviews all building plans to confirm that the proposal complies with the ICC 2018 Codes with Georgia Amendments.
