The Finance Department provides effective and efficient management of the City’s financial resources. It is responsible for the collection or disbursement of City revenues.

Finance Officer
Christopher T. Lightle, CPA, serves as the city’s Finance Officer. Chris Lightle is a certified public accountant and has worked more than twenty-seven years in public accounting, specializing in providing auditing and consulting services to local governments.
Mr. Lightle received a Bachelor’s of Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting from Savannah State University. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants, the Government Finance Officers Association and the Georgia Government Finance Officers Association.
