The mission of the Human Resources Department is to effectively manage the human capital needs of the City by recruiting, selecting and retaining employees; managing and administering employee benefits programs; coordinating and providing employee training; managing employee relations and performance management issues; managing the job classification and compensation plans and ensuring compliance with laws, rules, regulations, and ordinances that govern the employment relationship or city operations.
