LOCATION OF MINOR DISCHARGE: 208 N. Sangrena Dr. (Canal Behind Property)(Please note that the address used is a reference for the location of the lift station)
CAUSE OF DISCHARGE: The cause of the discharge was a broken force main pipe.
ESTIMATED DISCHARGE: Estimated less than 2000 gallons.
RECEIVING WATERS: Drainage ditch contiguous to the City’s storm water system.
CORRECTIVE ACTION TAKEN: Broken pipe was repaired. Vac Truck was utilized to recover approximately 6000 gallons of contaminated stormwater and returned to the collection system for treatment.
SPILL STATUS: Sewage is no longer leaking
CORRECTIVE ACTION TAKEN TO PREVENT FUTURE DISCHARGE: Pipe material was replaced with more durable and flexible HDPE pipe to prevent future breaks.
