Downtown Development Authority | DDA Board Member Applications Reopened

The application window has reopened for the DDA Board! Due to high interest and in order to ensure as many passionate community members as possible have the opportunity to get involved, we’ve reopened the application window for the Board of Directors for the Downtown Development Authority of Pooler (DDA).

The DDA will play a vital role in shaping the future of our downtown, from revitalizing the heart of our city to driving initiatives that will have lasting impacts on businesses, residents, and visitors alike. If you’re ready to make a real difference and have a hand in shaping the next chapter of Pooler’s downtown, this is your chance to step up and get involved.

What’s Involved?
If selected, you will be expected to attend monthly board meetings at Pooler City Hall, as well as dedicate some additional time outside of meetings to actively engage in board activities. Board members are also required to complete eight hours of state-mandated DDA training within their first year. (All approved mandated travel, training, and educational expenses will be covered at no cost.)

Are You Eligible?
To serve on the DDA Board, you must meet one of the following criteria:

  • Be a taxpaying resident of Pooler, or
  • Be an owner/operator of a business located within the downtown area boundaries and a taxpaying resident of Chatham County, or
  • Be a combination of both

This is your chance to play a part in your community’s future, and this application period will remain open through Sunday, August 10, 2025. Ready to apply? Click here here to submit your DDA Board application.
