Public Notice | State-wide Drought Response Level 1 Declared

Published on: Apr 28, 2026
On April 27, 2026 the Georgia Environmental Protection Division (EPD) declared a state-wide Drought Response Level 1.
Georgia is currently experiencing dry conditions, and water conservation is more important than ever. As temperatures rise, outdoor watering and irrigation can significantly increase water usage, and your utility bill.
We encourage all customers to use water wisely and efficiently:
•Water early in the morning or late in the evening to reduce evaporation
•Check for leaks in sprinkler systems, hoses, and outdoor fixtures
•Adjust irrigation timers to avoid overwatering
•Only water when necessary
•Consider using efficient methods such as drip irrigation
