Federal, State, and Local representatives joined City of Pooler yesterday for a Georgia Municipal Association Hometown Connection event, designed to strengthen relationships between cities and legislators by providing firsthand insights into local challenges and successes. The tour highlighted several of the City’s ongoing and completed infrastructure projects, giving attendees a firsthand look at investments that support Pooler’s continued growth and improve the quality of life for residents. In addition to touring the Recreation Complex on Preston Stokes Drive, officials joined residents for the official ribbon cutting of the newly completed Rogers Street Basketball Courts.
“It matters a lot,” said Mayor Karen Williams. “When we bring these officials together to talk about the issues facing our community, we’re able to collaborate and share ideas and visions. Today, we were able to show everyone exactly what we’re investing in and the impact those investments will have for Pooler’s future.“
The event served as both an educational tour and an opportunity to foster collaboration among elected officials and agency representatives while highlighting the City’s strategic investments in infrastructure and community spaces.
